Born in Paris in 1985, Gottman graduated from the École Boulle, Department of Art and Furniture Design, in 2007. Although initially trained in furniture design, his interest gradually shifted toward the artistic dimension of his practice, leading him to focus on producing artworks rather than functional objects.
In 2009, he relocated to Berlin, where he explored new techniques, further developed his artistic practice, and devoted himself to sculpture. During this period, he became recognized for his iron and steel sculptures as well as his large-scale installations.
While in Istanbul, inspired by Annette Messager, he realized an organic sculpture and metal installation in the Grand Bazaar. In the following years, he exhibited a monumental Teddy Bear sculpture at Atakule, overlooking the botanical garden.
Currently, the artist is working on his Chimère series, in which he combines mixed techniques, drawings, and forms of reality.
Gottman continues his artistic practice between Paris and Istanbul.
